Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 – Explore Iowa's capital city with urban amenities, beautiful parks, and a rich arts and culture scene.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 11, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630–$1750 per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Completion of all onboarding health, competency, and compliance requirements (drug screen, immunizations, background check)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document nursing care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and clinical support staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices in nursing care
