Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 11, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Setting: Resource Pool – Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,630 - $1,750
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to float within the resource pool and adapt to various clinical units
• Successful completion of onboarding requirements: background check, drug screening, health screenings, competency testing, and required documentation

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures according to established nursing protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
• Float to other units within the resource pool as needed to support patient care
