Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: New Hampton, Iowa 50659 (Iowa travel nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every third weekend and every other holiday required
• Start Date: December 7, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630 - $1750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or Medical Surgical nursing setting
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every third weekend and every other holiday
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements: background check, drug screening, health screenings, and competency testing

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies
• Participate in unit meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
