Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Unit: Resource Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Start Date: December 7, 2025
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10 Hour Days (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1950

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to float within the Resource Pool as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record
• Administer medications and perform clinical treatments according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
