Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 7, 2025
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Setting: Resource Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1630-$1750
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

RN Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or medical surgical telemetry setting
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to float within the resource pool as needed
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Compliance with all healthcare onboarding requirements (health screenings, competency testing, background check, etc.)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and nursing policies
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols
