Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
- Location: Keene, NH 03431 (New Hampshire nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 48 hours per week
- Weekend & Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Setting: Cardiac Stepdown (Thompson Unit); may float to Kingsbury as needed
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs (no logos; provided by traveler)
- EMR: Epic
- Housing: Local housing resources available (Housing Flyer)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg or cardiac nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Experience with cardiac drips and complex cardiac patient care
- Dementia care and management experience required
- NIHSS certification strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Reliable personal vehicle required (no public transportation in Keene)
- Permanent address must be provided with application
- All medical/occupational health compliance items must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended, but not required
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver total nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips; manage complex cardiac cases
- Float to other units (such as Kingsbury) as needed to support hospital staffing
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care and recovery
- Provide leadership and collaborate with ancillary staff and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Uphold standards for professional nursing practice and ensure quality patient care
- Manage dementia patients and implement appropriate interventions
- Document all care accurately using Epic EMR
Note: Block scheduling is not available. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible for this travel nursing assignment.
