Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Windsor, VT 05089 (Vermont travel nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Med Surg Unit (with potential to float to Acute Rehab)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• EMR System: Cerner
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Average Daily Census: 22 patients
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950 - $2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehab nursing experience
• Previous Charge RN experience required
• At least 3 months of travel nursing experience
• BSN preferred
• Reliable vehicle required (no public transportation in Windsor, VT)
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers)
• Ability to float between Med Surg and Acute Rehab units as needed
• All requested time off must be submitted with application (maximum 5 days RTO)
• Strong attendance record required (strict call-off policy)

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Serve as backup Charge Nurse as needed
• Educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Cerner EMR
• Maintain compliance with facility and professional nursing standards
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing team members
• Adapt to floating between Med Surg and Acute Rehab units as required
