Key Job Details – Cath Lab RN Travel Assignment
- Location: Hickory, North Carolina 28601
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2025 – End: 4/6/2025)
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (07:00–17:30), 4 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100–$2250
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state license for travel nurses)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within six months of hire
- ASLS certification preferred
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, especially in cardiac care or cath lab settings
Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the cardiac cath lab, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical procedures
- Accurately document and monitor patient care, communicating patient status to the healthcare team, physicians, patients, and families
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination
- Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and providing psychosocial support
- Assess and address the learning needs of patients and families, delivering education tailored to age, culture, and health condition
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of all patients in your care
