Job Details – Oncology RN Travel Nursing Opportunity
- Location: Greenville, NC (27834) – Eastern North Carolina healthcare jobs
- Unit: Cancer Center Surgical Oncology (32-bed flex unit)
- Duration: 13-week travel RN contract
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing (On-Site)
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling for work-life balance
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4 RN-to-patient
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780–$1910
Qualifications – Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact state RN licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in oncology, surgical, or acute care settings
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
- Eligible to work within an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC
- Willingness to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
- Availability to work 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
- All requested time off must be approved prior to confirmation
Key Responsibilities – Oncology RN Jobs
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical oncology and benign surgical patients
- Care for patients with ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and thoracic conditions
- Support patients under plastic surgeon management
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and response to oncology treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care delivery
