- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 11, 2026
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), every other weekend, holiday rotation, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,830 - $1,960 per week
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for New York nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse experience)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI only)
- NIHSS certification
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and EMR preferred
- TNCC and Emergency Nurses Association certification recommended within 2 years
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate critical care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ICU
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and commitment to a healing environment
- Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Promote patient safety, dignity, respect, and well-being
