• Unit: Level 2 Intensive Care Unit
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), every other weekend, holiday rotation, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,830 - $1,960 per week

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for New York nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse experience)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and EMR preferred
• TNCC and Emergency Nurses Association certification recommended within 2 years

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate critical care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and commitment to a healing environment
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Promote patient safety, dignity, respect, and well-being
