ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia RN license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Strong critical thinking, clinical, and communication skills
• Current BLS certification (ACLS and other certifications preferred)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill adults in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary team members
• Provide compassionate support, education, and communication to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in accordance with hospital policies
