Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) – Telemetry
• Location: Flemington, NJ 08822 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Weekly Hours: 48 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13-week nursing contract
• Start Date: January 13, 2026
• Home Unit: 5S (with floating to other Medical Surgical Telemetry units as needed)
• Hourly Pay Rate: $83.70
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2700 - $2840

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN in an acute care setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Completion of 8 stroke CEUs (including 3 from NIHSS)
• Flu immunization required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including continuous telemetry monitoring
• Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed to provide clinical support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain compliance with stroke education requirements and keep CEUs current
• Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards in all nursing duties
