Telemetry RN Job Details – Akron, Ohio Healthcare Jobs

Location: Akron, OH 44304
Unit: 4 North (Cardiac Telemetry, 33 beds)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
Start Date: January 18, 2026
End Date: April 18, 2026
Duration: 13-week nursing contract
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required
Scrubs: Black scrubs required
Patient Ratios: 1:5/6

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – Ohio nursing jobs
Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
At least 2 years of recent charge nurse experience; must be comfortable taking charge on shift
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
Recent Epic EMR experience (within last 12 months; must be documented on resume)
Proficiency with blood draws and IV starts/maintenance
Ability to float to other units as needed
Compliance with all onboarding health and background requirements
Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) at submission; block schedules considered case-by-case

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a 33-bed unit
Serve as charge nurse, providing leadership and clinical support
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition
Perform blood draws and start/maintain IVs
Document patient care in Epic EMR system
Float to other hospital units as assigned
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
