Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio (zip 44304) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Unit: 4 West – 21-bed cardiac step-down/telemetry and stroke overflow
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 18, 2026 – End: April 18, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, occasionally 1:5

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – Registered Nurse jobs in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Telemetry nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Ability to draw blood and start IVs
• Solid black scrubs required
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Interview availability must be provided with application

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in a cardiac step-down/telemetry and stroke overflow unit
• Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and perform clinical interventions
• Draw blood and initiate IV therapy
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
