Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Harrison Township, NJ (Zip: 08062) – South Jersey healthcare jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, Sunday through Saturday; weekend and holiday availability required
• Employment Type: Local Contract (On-Site)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Pay Rate: $83.70/hr

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Stepdown nursing
• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state (NJ nursing license)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Stroke CEUs, and completion of PCU or Critical Care course
• Willingness to float between units as needed for clinical support
• Full 7-day orientation attendance required (no exceptions)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; frequent walking, talking, hearing, and vision required
• Maximum of 3 days requested time off (RTO) permitted

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to observation and inpatient status patients in the ED or inpatient units
• Float among various hospital units as needed to support patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EHR system
• Participate in ongoing education and required orientation sessions
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and clinical procedures
