Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio 44304
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/18/2026 – End: 4/18/2026)
• Unit: 3 North – Med-Surg/Telemetry (17 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Travel Nursing Position: Yes

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (ASN or BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Recent experience with EPIC EMR (must be documented on resume)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Charge nurse experience (must be shown on resume)
• Proficient in blood draws and IV management
• Solid black scrubs required
• Ability to provide required health and background documentation upon onboarding

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patients with epilepsy, medical overflow, and substance abuse challenges
• Draw blood, start/manage IVs, and administer medications as ordered
• Serve as charge nurse for select shifts, overseeing staff and patient care
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Accurately document care and interventions in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
