- Assignment Length: 12-week travel nursing contract

- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 - 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Renal Med/Surg Unit (Med Surg 6)
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 49 rooms, average daily census of 48
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Charting System: Epic EMR (required)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, to other nursing units
- Call Requirement: None
RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State (required at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Availability to work major holidays during assignment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a renal Med/Surg setting
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform blood product administration
- Provide wound care, manage surgical drains, and perform phlebotomy
- Monitor and document patient status using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
- Float to other nursing units as required
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
