Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Length: 12-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Renal Med/Surg Unit (Med Surg 6)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 49 rooms, average daily census of 48
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Charting System: Epic EMR (required)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, to other nursing units
• Call Requirement: None

RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State (required at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification (required)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Availability to work major holidays during assignment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a renal Med/Surg setting
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform blood product administration
• Provide wound care, manage surgical drains, and perform phlebotomy
• Monitor and document patient status using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Float to other nursing units as required
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
