Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA 30901
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Duration: 12-week contract
- Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Float: Required to all Med-Surg, MS/Telemetry, and PCU units within the hospital
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry settings
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Ability to float between units as needed
- Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry units
- Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 in PCU and 1:5-6 in Med-Surg/Telemetry units
- Float between various units, adapting to diverse patient populations and diagnoses
- Utilize Epic for electronic charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Perform clinical skills including arterial line management, cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, and central line care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Comply with hospital policies regarding holidays, time off, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
