Travel Nurse Job Details
- Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
- Location: Augusta, GA 30901
- Healthcare Facility: Modern Cardiac Telemetry Unit (#2, 36 rooms, avg census 35)
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Yes, as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Proficient with Epic charting system
- Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, heparin; no titration)
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV/central line care, post-cardiac procedures, and wound care
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) required
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for patients with CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular conditions
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration)
- Conduct assessments, document in Epic, and communicate using SBAR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, PT, RT, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response
- Provide patient education and support for adult and geriatric populations
- Float to other nursing units as needed
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules
