Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Snellville, Georgia 30078 (Atlanta metro area)
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (13 L&D rooms, 2 ORs, approx. 200 deliveries/month)
• Scrubs: Provided by hospital
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Possible within Women's Service Line (Mother/Baby, newborn care)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required at submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems preferred
• Ability to provide nursing care for adult patient population in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Two supervisory references (manager or above) required
• Full compliance with healthcare onboarding requirements prior to start

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and newborn assessments
• Utilize external fetal monitoring and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Administer medications, including Pitocin and insulin drips; maintain central lines
• Triage obstetrical patients and respond to labor & delivery emergencies
• Float within Women's Service Line as needed, including Mother/Baby and newborn care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, social services, pharmacy)
• Follow infection control and isolation precautions
• Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays during assignment
