Medical/Surgical RN Job Details

• Location: Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 (Atlanta metro area)
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Admiss_Cardiac Observation Unit (16 beds, average census 16)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: May float within facility as needed
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work holidays as scheduled during assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
• Required Certifications: BLS, CPI, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Strong teamwork and clinical support skills in a team nursing model
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
• Ability to complete compliance and onboarding requirements promptly

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, ESRD, anemia, and abdominal pain
• Conduct patient assessments and manage care for up to 8 patients per shift, collaborating with LPNs, Paramedics, and PCTs
• Administer medications and perform clinical tasks as part of a team-based approach
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for accurate documentation and effective communication
• Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Float to other nursing units within the facility as needed
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including weekend and holiday scheduling
