Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 (Atlanta metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (32 beds)
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within the facility
• Charting System: Epic (preferred), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient in basic arrhythmia and cardiac drip management (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat, bumex, lasix)
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and post-PCI care
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Strong Med/Surg nursing skills including IV management, phlebotomy, and central line care
• Availability to work major holidays as scheduled during assignment
• Full compliance with facility requirements prior to start date

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac telemetry setting
• Monitor and manage cardiac arrhythmias and intravenous drips
• Care for patients post-cardiac catheterization and PCI procedures
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care using Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float to similar nursing units as needed within the facility
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training modules
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
