Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202
- Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit (KR - Krannert)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Nursing Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Orientation: 12 hours
- First Time Travel Nurses: Accepted
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; must be in hand prior to start date)
- BCLS certification required
- Proficiency with Cerner charting system
- Strong urology nursing skills and IV start proficiency
- Must have majority 3s & 4s in Urology section to qualify
- Two supervisor references required
- Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and affiliate hospitals as needed
- Local Indiana residents not accepted for this travel nursing position
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic oncology, and surgical oncology diagnoses
- Perform special procedures including CBI and hand irrigations
- Initiate and maintain IVs, manage surgical drains, and administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA)
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation)
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner
- Float to other nursing units and affiliate hospitals as required
- Work self-scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays
