Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Wyoming or compact/multi-state RN license – Registered Nurse jobs in Wyoming
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, individualized nursing care to diverse patient populations following clinical nursing standards
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions
  • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, post-treatment care, and home management
  • Monitor specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays, and accurately document patient information
  • Respond to life-saving situations using nursing protocols and standards
  • Assist physicians during examinations and treatments; perform procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV starts
  • Participate in discharge planning and patient education initiatives
  • Maintain concise, accurate, and timely documentation of all care provided
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
