ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Wyoming or compact/multi-state RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association required)
  • PALS or ENPC & TNCC preferred
  • Ability to provide clinical support for pediatric/adolescent patients
  • Willingness to float between Lander and Riverton healthcare campuses

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Deliver advanced life support, wound care, and critical interventions
  • Assist physicians with procedures and monitor patient vital signs
  • Operate and ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and medical equipment
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications according to protocols
  • Collaborate with the critical care team and respond to emergency situations
  • Act as a patient advocate and provide education and support to families
  • Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold nursing standards
