Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state Registered Nurse license (attach to resume)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Current certifications (American Heart Association):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Ability to float between Lander and Riverton healthcare campuses
  • Strong clinical skills in critical thinking, leadership, and communication

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department using the Nursing Process
  • Apply sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in fast-paced ER situations
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education and training
  • Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience
  • Supervise and provide direction to assigned healthcare personnel
  • Ensure compliance with Wyoming Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
  • Float between Lander and Riverton campuses as needed for clinical support
