Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must apply for Vermont RN license upon acceptance
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and AVADE or other nationally recognized de-escalation certification (Pro-Act, CPI, MOAB, etc.)
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)
- Ability to provide complete work history and account for employment gaps over 30 days
- Local candidates not accepted
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and clinical support staff
- Accurately document patient care in the Cerner EMR system
- Participate in biweekly orientation and adhere to facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
