Oncology RN Job Details

Location: Scottsbluff, NE 69361 – Nebraska healthcare jobs in a vibrant, supportive community with access to outdoor recreation and local culture.
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Start Date: January 12, 2026
End Date: April 13, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Nebraska nursing jobs welcome
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (oncology or infusion nursing experience preferred)
ONS/ANCC certification preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to changing patient needs

Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and infusion treatments
Monitor patient responses, manage side effects, and provide clinical support
Collaborate with oncology providers, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Utilize acuity scale for staffing and patient care planning
Educate patients and families about cancer treatment plans and symptom management
Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to healthcare safety protocols
