  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), alternating weekends
  • Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alabama or compact state
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg unit
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
  • Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
