Travel Nursing Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: PCU Float Pool (may float to stepdown/PCU areas and other campuses)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Orientation: 36 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience (Progressive Care Unit nursing jobs)
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• EPIC charting experience required
• Clinical skills: IV start, telemetry, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, insulin drip titration, tracheostomy care, wound care, and more
• Ability to float to all stepdown/PCU areas and other campuses (Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, Dodd)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU/stepdown settings
• Float between various PCU and stepdown units, adapting to new teams and environments
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC electronic health records
• Initiate and manage IVs, administer medications, and perform advanced nursing procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
• Respond to rapid response/code situations and participate in patient care planning
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education and support

Note: No time off approved between 2/15/26 and 2/28/26. Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process required upon contract signing.
