Cardiac RN Job Details

• Location: Syracuse, NY 13203 (Central New York healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Janus Park Cardiac Rehab
• Assignment Type: Travel RN job
• Start Date: January 11, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends, holidays, or on-call)
• Hours per Week: 40

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, cardiac rehabilitation, or cardiology nursing
• Cardiology experience required
• Ability to complete onboarding health and compliance requirements (vaccinations, screenings)

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac rehabilitation patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac patient conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle changes
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Promote a safe, supportive environment for patient recovery in the cardiac stepdown unit
