Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Akron, OH 44304 – Ohio nursing jobs
• Unit: 3 North – 17-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit specializing in epilepsy monitoring and medical overflow
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Feb 1, 2026 – May 2, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (ASN or BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Documented experience with EPIC charting system
• Proficient in blood draws and IV management
• Recent charge RN experience (must be listed on resume)
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Solid black scrubs required
• Ability to provide all required health and professional documentation upon onboarding

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in epilepsy monitoring and medical overflow
• Care for patients with substance abuse and acute medical conditions
• Perform blood draws, start and manage IVs
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Serve as charge nurse during assigned shifts, providing leadership and clinical support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and efficient healthcare environment
