Key Job Details – Illinois Oncology RN Travel Contract
- Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities area)
- Position: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
- Setting: Oncology 4S Unit (Med Surg/Oncology)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- EMR: EPIC
- Floating: May be required to float to campuses in Bettendorf (IA), Moline, Muscatine (IA), and TRI
Qualifications – Oncology RN Jobs in Illinois
- Active Illinois RN license at time of submission
- If Iowa RN license is not active, proof of application for IA single state or Compact RN license required before start
- Active Illinois and Iowa Nurse Agency licenses (not Nursys reports)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Oncology nursing experience required
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Ability to float to surgical and cardiac stepdown units as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available upon request)
- Travel nurses must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- Submission requirements: resume, work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, copy of BLS, and references (preferred)
Responsibilities – Oncology Registered Nurse
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients using the nursing process
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other cancer treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on cancer diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care
- Float to other units and campuses as needed to support patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
