• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) or 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirements: None
• Holiday Requirements: Not required
• Floating: Float to all Operating Rooms as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or Compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Clinical proficiency in at least one specialty: ENT (trach/awake, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue cases), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), or Surgical Oncology
• Proficiency in all three specialties preferred
• Nicotine-free facility
• New graduates not accepted

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, focusing on patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
• Assist with surgical procedures in ENT, Neuro, and Surgical Oncology specialties
• Float between various ORs to support the surgical team as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
• Complete all required orientation and credentialing prior to assignment start
