Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbia, South Carolina (zip 29204) – South Carolina nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• End Date: April 21, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, General Surgery Unit
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (6:30am – 7:00pm)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: 1-2 call days per week (starting at 5pm); 1 call weekend every 5 weeks (Saturday 7am – Monday 7am)
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Scrubs: Hospital-issued
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: Free parking in downtown lots and garages

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact Registered Nurse license (required prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Radiation badge (provided by agency)
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with surgical procedures: robotic, orthopedic, general, neuro, and more preferred
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the operating room
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including robotic, orthopedic, general, and neuro surgeries
• Document patient care accurately using Epic charting system
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: anesthesia, surgeons, and support staff
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and universal precautions
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of surgical specimens
