ER RN Job Details

• Location: Kinston, North Carolina 28501
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• End Date: April 21, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED), 34 beds, 100+ patient visits/day
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), includes every other weekend and holiday
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (RN license)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH/Stroke Certification
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience caring for all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Willingness to float to similar or lower acuity units
• No local travelers within a 50-mile radius

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse emergency conditions
• Administer emergency medications and manage acute/chronic illnesses
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilated patients, and provide conscious sedation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, social services
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in stroke and trauma protocols
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed
