Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
- Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
