• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Whole House Resource Pool (ICU/PCU/MS Float)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (extensions up to 52 weeks available)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15); 4x12s available
• Hours per Week: 36
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia or Compact State)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in a Level I or II hospital
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience
• Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and Med/Surg units; comfortable with patient ratios up to 1:6
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse and Level I Trauma experience

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Float between ICU, PCU, and Med/Surg units as needed (may float 2-3 times per shift)
• Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, and blood product administration
• Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, suctioning (ETT, NT), and continuous IV sedation
• Interpret cardiac monitoring, manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, and respond to emergencies
• Participate in rapid response/code teams and follow infection prevention protocols
• Work at least one holiday per 13-week contract and fulfill weekend shift requirements (6 shifts per 6-week block)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
