Job Details – Augusta, GA ICU Nurse Travel Contract
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
- Setting: Critical Care Float Pool – ICU, MS, MS/Tele, PCU units
- Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approx. 6 weekends per contract)
- Floating: Required to all Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and ICU units
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact State RN license (required at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
- Ability to float between ICU, MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
- Strong clinical skills in critical care: ventilator management, arterial line care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) preferred
- Timely compliance with onboarding and documentation requirements
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in ICU and acute care units
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilatory and hemodynamic support
- Administer medications, blood products, and treatments per hospital protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy)
- Accurately document patient care in Epic
- Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and compliance training
- Work every other weekend and major holidays as required by assignment
