Job Details – Augusta, GA ICU Nurse Travel Contract

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
• Setting: Critical Care Float Pool – ICU, MS, MS/Tele, PCU units
• Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approx. 6 weekends per contract)
• Floating: Required to all Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and ICU units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or Compact State RN license (required at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
• Ability to float between ICU, MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
• Strong clinical skills in critical care: ventilator management, arterial line care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) preferred
• Timely compliance with onboarding and documentation requirements

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in ICU and acute care units
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilatory and hemodynamic support
• Administer medications, blood products, and treatments per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy)
• Accurately document patient care in Epic
• Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and compliance training
• Work every other weekend and major holidays as required by assignment
