CVOR RN Job Details
- Location: Mason City, Iowa (50401) – Iowa healthcare jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
- Start Date: December 21, 2025
- End Date: March 21, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), based on department needs
- Hours: Full-Time, 36-40 hours/week
- Call Requirement: 10-12 days/month
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 1 year recent CVOR nursing experience
- Proven experience with open heart surgery
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Scrubbing experience a plus
- Ability to take scheduled call
- Current BLS certification
CVOR Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Assist with open heart and complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR system
- Participate in call rotation as required
- Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff
