ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

• End Date: March 22, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12 Hour Night Shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Openings: 2 ICU RN positions
• Healthcare Setting: ICU, Step Down, Telemetry, Med-Surg

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Current BLS (CPR), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience or acute care (Step Down, Telemetry, Med-Surg)
• Extensive cardiac care experience required
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policies and nursing standards
• Accurately document patient care and progress in electronic health records
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians
• Educate patients and families on care plans, health management, and recovery
• Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Provide clinical support and expertise to other hospital departments as needed
• Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately
