Key Job Details – ICU RN Travel Contract

• Location: Wilson, NC 27893 (Eastern North Carolina)
• Healthcare Setting: ICU and IMU (16-bed unit)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Shifts: Every other or every third weekend (12-hour shifts)
• Float Requirements: Yes (IMU, Telemetry overflow)
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech EMR

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Proficient in EKG interpretation, critical thinking, and titration of critical drips (vasopressors, sedation)
• Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable
• Ability to float to IMU and Telemetry units as needed
• Compliance with hospital dress code (scrub color not assigned; artificial nails not permitted)

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in ICU and IMU settings
• Monitor and manage adult patients with diagnoses including COPD, ARF, DKA, sepsis, and shock
• Interpret EKGs and titrate critical drips per hospital protocols
• Operate advanced medical equipment: cardiac monitors, bedside dialysis, Baxter IV pumps
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to IMU and Telemetry units as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Follow hospital policies and infection control standards
