• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – ICU nurse jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 11, 2026 – End: April 11, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – Registered Nurse jobs
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience – critical care nurse experience
• Critical Care RN certification preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a rural hospital healthcare setting
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Influenza recommended)
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent patient care and customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and data analysis
• Implement nursing interventions according to care plans and physician orders
• Conduct hourly rounds using the 4 P’s approach
• Promote a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Provide standard care for central lines, chest tubes, catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and high fall-risk patients
• Precept and mentor new employees, supporting department growth and evidence-based practices
• Engage in ongoing professional development through goal setting and educational opportunities
• Ensure proper storage and safety of medications
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
