Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Thornton, Colorado 80229
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Unit: Surgical/Telemetry (24 beds)
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling, posted 3 weeks in advance

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Surgical RN experience
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-turnover healthcare environment

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care for post-op recovery (surgical and cath lab), cardiac, stroke, renal, and respiratory cases
• Monitor patients using advanced telemetry and post-operative equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (charge nurses, RNs, PCTs)
• Efficiently manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Accurately document care using Meditech EMR
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented nursing culture
• Participate in modified self-scheduling for optimal work-life balance
