Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Roswell, NM 88201
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Guaranteed Hours: 48-hour guarantees available (request at submission)
• Block Scheduling: May be accommodated (request at submission)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6, occasionally 1:7
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• EMR: Cerner, Mindray Telemetry System

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to float as needed (may float to ICU for Med/Surg overflow or step-down patients)
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico healthcare travelers (ensure agency registration with the state of New Mexico; process may take several weeks)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients following hospital policies and procedures
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate and support patients and families
• Float to other units as needed, including ICU for Med/Surg overflow or step-down patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner and Mindray Telemetry System
