ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Sanford, NC 27330 (Central North Carolina)
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend and Call: Every other weekend and as needed
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Any color of your choosing
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, NIHSS
- Ability to float to other units as needed (patient ratio 1:6 when floating)
- Required education and licensure for RN practice in North Carolina
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor and manage patients with high acuity conditions, including respiratory failure
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EHR
- Float to other hospital units as required, maintaining high standards of nursing care
- Participate in ongoing nursing education and orientation sessions
