  • Location: Sanford, NC 27330 (Central North Carolina)
  • Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: January 12, 2026
  • End Date: April 13, 2026
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekend and Call: Every other weekend and as needed
  • Electronic Health Record: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Any color of your choosing

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina RN license or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, NIHSS
  • Ability to float to other units as needed (patient ratio 1:6 when floating)
  • Required education and licensure for RN practice in North Carolina

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Monitor and manage patients with high acuity conditions, including respiratory failure
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
  • Accurately document patient care using Cerner EHR
  • Float to other hospital units as required, maintaining high standards of nursing care
  • Participate in ongoing nursing education and orientation sessions
