ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience in Cardiology and Neurology
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- Experience in Level 1 trauma hospital preferred
- Ability to support Cath/Lab PACU surge needs
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiac and neuro patients in the ICU
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Support Cath/Lab PACU during increased patient volume
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
- Deliver compassionate support to patients and families
