ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience in Cardiology and Neurology
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
  • Experience in Level 1 trauma hospital preferred
  • Ability to support Cath/Lab PACU surge needs
  • Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiac and neuro patients in the ICU
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Support Cath/Lab PACU during increased patient volume
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
  • Deliver compassionate support to patients and families
