• Shift: 12-hour days (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)

• Schedule: Every third weekend; holiday rotation (every other holiday)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (Iowa or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional certifications may be required per facility policy)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (health screenings, competency testing, background check)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent medical conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate and support patients and their families
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
