Registered Nurse Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state nursing license
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
Strong clinical skills and current knowledge of perioperative nursing
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and quality standards
Provide age-appropriate and patient-centered care to surgical patients
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Float to other clinical departments as needed to support patient care
Respond to emergencies and adapt to changes in the surgical schedule
Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions with staff, patients, and families
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the healthcare setting
