Homecare RN Job Details

Location: Winchester, VA 22601 – Explore the oldest Virginia city west of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 2 hours from Washington, D.C. Enjoy year-round entertainment, outdoor activities, and a vibrant arts and food scene.
Assignment Length: 13-26 weeks (travel nursing contract)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
Shifts per Week: 5
Hours per Week: 40 (36 hours guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every 5th weekend
On-Call: None
EMR: EPIC
Dress Code: Black scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
Current BLS certification
Valid driver's license
Minimum 1 year of recent Home Health or homecare experience
Proficiency with laptop documentation and cell phone communication

Homecare Nursing Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in home settings as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Assess patients and create individualized care plans to address their health needs
Implement nursing interventions to promote patient safety and independence
Provide one-on-one care and supervise home health assistants
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
Manage a daily caseload of 5-7 patient visits (varies by visit type)
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
